Even with the much anticipated return match between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg, this time for the WWE Universal Championship currently held by Goldberg, fans seem divided about the strength of this year's "Wrestlemania 33" card.

AJ Styles, making his first WrestleMania appearance since taking the WWE by storm not quite a year ago, will be challenging Shane Mcmahon, the son of WWE CEO and Chairman of the Board Vince McMahon.

Styles, who gained international superstar status before joining the WWE, including a run as IWGP Heavyweight Champion, one of the most prestigious titles in Japan, seems to have been tossed in the fray in a match with no real meaning.

Roman Reigns, who has been touted as the heir apparent of the WWE (a position John Cena had held for over 10 years), is still seeking acceptance from the WWE Universe and it is hoped his match with Undertaker at WrestleMania will finally catapult him into being accepted by fans as the new face of the WWE.

Triple H, making his yearly appearance in the ring, will battle with often injured Seth Rollins, another of whom fans have been slow to support.

Rollins has suffered two serious knee injuries in the past year, one of which required surgery and kept him out of the ring for several months. Rollins has also been accused of being careless in the ring and injuring opponents at times, including the legendary Sting in their match at "Night of Champions" in 2015.

Women's Fatal 4-Way dichotomy of styles

The RAW Women's Championship will be defended by popular champion Bayley against former multi-time champion Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax. The ladies division has been showcased more often on TV as well as in PPV and will be no exception at WrestleMania. The four ladies competing for the title offer four very different and contrasting styles from the whimsical Baley to the calculated Charlotte, the technical Banks and the brawler in Jax.

John Cena and girlfriend Nikki Bella will stand across the ring from The Miz and wife Maryse while Kevin Owens tries to take the United States Championship from former "friend" Chris Jericho. Dean Ambrose will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Baron Corbin while Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defend the RAW Tag Team Championship in a Triple Threat Ladder Match against Enzo and Cass and Cesaro and Sheamus.

On paper WrestleMania this year would appear to be a loaded show featuring the best in the WWE in match-ups that many have been waiting and wanting to see, yet some are not satisfied.

Fans have their say on WrestleMania, network

"I'm not happy about WrestleMania, they (WWE) are just wasting AJ (Styles) putting him in a crappy match with Shane McMahon," says longtime fan Richard Hurd.

"I may not even watch it this year and I may cancel my subscription (WWE Network) before it's all said and done."

While some appear to be jaded before the show even takes place there are others who are supportive of the direction the WWE is going with WrestleMania.

"I think it will be a good show," said fan and wrestling photographer Leonard Brand. "People just need to sit back and enjoy the show as fans more often and not let the internet think for them."

Kickoff matches (those matches not appearing on the main WrestleMania show) include the Fourth Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, Cruiserweight Champion Neville defending against for TNA World Champion Austin Aries and Smackdown Women's Champion Alexa Bliss defending her title against any number of ladies from Smackdown.

WrestleMania airs Sunday April 2, 2017 on the WWE Network starting at 7 p.m. EST.
