England won the toss and elected to field first

The question at present in the English camp is how to stop Virat Kohli and his blitzkrieg. Virat has already made 17 ODI centuries in run chases and equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record in half many tests.

It is evident that comparison will be drawn between the two greatest batsmen of our times.

However, Virat is very modest and shies away from any comparison.

Elaborate security arrangements made

The second ODI between England and India hold out great promise. The tickets have been sold out, and security has been beefed up especially after the unfortunate incidents during the last game between India and South Africa.

According to the Police Commissioner, 63 platoons of the police force would be deployed at the stadium during the second ODI.

Seats have been reserved, with numbers and no water bottles or packets will be allowed into the ground.

Pitch and Weather

The dew factor will play an important part especially for the team playing second. The weather condition is good according to the chief curator of the Odisha Cricket Association, Mr.

Pankaj Patnaik. He said that black cotton soil which has been used to prepare the pitch would maintain its consistency and will not crack owing to lack of moisture. The bounce will be good, and it is a good batting pitch.

The third and the final ODI will be played at Eden Garden, Kolkata on January 22, 2017.
