Hubbali is witnessing some high voltage cricketing actions for the past few days, as the seventh edition of the much popular Karnataka Premier League is going on in the KSCA Hubli Cricket ground.

Yesterday's game between Bijapur Bulls and Mangalore United was postponed due to heavy rain. Mangalore United was facing a colossal breakdown in batting when the rain started. The match referee called off the game when Mangalore team was 45/7 in nine overs.

In another game, Mysuru Warriors marked a nine-run win against Bellary Tuskers. This match was too affected by rain, and the innings was reduced to 17 overs.

Warriors who batted first scored a competitive 157 runs, while the Bellary team fell nine runs short of victory.

It was captain Manish Pandey (52 off 36) andRongsen Jonathan (30 of14) who helped the Mysuru team to put up a decent total on the scoreboard. Rohan Kadam started the chase for Bellary with style, but the middle order failed to take the team to success. Krishnappa Gautham and V Koushik picked two wickets for the Mysuru team.

In yet another milestone, the Indian cricket team is playing its landmark 500th Test today at Kanpur against the New Zealand team.
