Following a recent club outing in Sweden, hip-hop star G-Eazy was arrested for multiple charges. They included an assault in the club as well as several charges related to narcotics. His girlfriend Halsey was also allegedly struck during the club incident. Here are the latest details on the rapper's arrest after his partying at the club.

G-Eazy's charges

It was reported by TMZ that American rap star G-Eazy, real name Gerald Gillum, was partying at a Stockholm club on Wednesday. Sources say he was acting "irate" while in the club and that prompted security to come over.

The guards asked him to settle himself down, but the rapper threw punches and hit one guard several times in the face. That brought about G-Eazy's initial arrest.

Once he was detained by police they also found that he was in possession of cocaine, leading to narcotics charges. The rapper was booked for suspicion of assault, possession and use of narcotics. As of TMZ's report, he was said to still be in custody with the authorities. The website also said they received no response back from any of the members of G-Eazy's team they contacted.

G-Eazy's girlfriend Halsey and friend Sean Kingston were also there during the club incident. The two were reportedly partying with G-Eazy, as was shown in videos.

As the rapper was being arrested, one of the videos shows Halsey yelling that she was struck in the face by a security guard during the scuffle.

Incident update

In an updated report from TMZ on Friday morning, it was mentioned that G-Eazy was officially released from custody and is now free to leave the country. It was also indicated that he had to pay $9,000 in fines and restitution to his victim -- the bouncer he punched in the club.

In the later report, it's also said that G-Eazy was going after a fan who was taking pics in the VIP area. At that point, G-Eazy accidentally punched the bouncer as he was trying to intervene in the incident.

G-Eazy's history

The hip-hop star doesn't have a history of charges beyond his recent arrest. G-Eazy had basically been enjoying the success of his latest work "The Beautiful & Damned" which he released in 2017.

At the MTV Europe Awards, he won the Favorite Hip-Hop Artist award. He was nominated in 2016 for the Best Hip-Hop Artist award at the event but came up short in the category.

One of G-Eazy's biggest hits to date has been the song "No Limit" featuring ASAP Rocky and Cardi B which charted as high as No. 2 in 2017. He also released "Him & I" with girlfriend Halsey in the same year. That song rose as high as No. 7 on the US Billboard charts.
