Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Post, is a hip-hop artist who is only 22 years old and was born on July 4, 1995, in Syracuse New York.

He garnered interest in music from his dad who was a disc jockey for a bit and introduced him to different types of music as well as from playing the popular video game Guitar Hero. He released his first mixtape called "Young and After them Riches" at the age of 16 which he showed to people at his school and was subsequently voted most likely to become famous. Post Malone had stated that Bob Dylan, 50 Cent, and Key! are the artists that influenced him.

Post Malone has said that he got his stage name from his last name and through a rap name generator. When he first rose to stardom, people thought his name was in reference to retired NBA Player Karl Malone but those thoughts were squashed by facts.

His first album called "Stoney" was released in December 2016. The album features his debut and hit song "White Iverson" which has been viewed over 500 million times on YouTube and is in reference to NBA hall-of-fame player Allen Iverson. It also features "Congratulations" which features Quavo and reached the top 10 on Billboard Hot 100.

The music video for Congratulations has been viewed 750 million times. "I Fall Apart" and "Go Flex" are songs that he made that were also on the Billboard Hot 100 and are in the album Stoney. The album has a total of 14 songs which has artists Justin Beiber and Kehlani as featured artists.

Beerbongs & Bentley's

Yesterday, after postponing the release date multiple times, he released his second album called "Beerbongs & Bentley's.

" The album has ''Rockstar," featuring 21 Savage, which was the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks. The music video has currently been viewed 315 million times. The album also has the song "Psycho" which features Ty Dolla $ign and has a music video that has been out for a month and has over 100 million hits. "Candy Paint" is the only other song on this album that hit the Billboard Hot 100. The album has a total of 18 songs and features Swae Lee, Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy and YG.
