On Saturday night (April 14), Coachella 2018 became known as Beychella 2018. Beyoncé became the first Black Woman to headline Coachella since the Music And Arts festival started in 1999 and the second woman to headline in 10 years.Reports by Vox and the New York Times provided most of the information used in this article.
During the historic two-hour long performance on the main stage, Beyoncé delivered an electrifying jaw-dropping performance backed by over a hundred dancers, background singers, and drumline. The singer surprised the crowd when she brought out Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, reuniting Destiny's Child for the special night.
The group performed several of their hits including, "Say My Name" and "Lose My Breath." The show included a performance with the singer's husband, Jay-Z, and an appearance by her sister, Solange. The sisters did a playful dance routine to "Get Me Bodied."
Beyoncé's Coachella Opening
Beyoncé opened the show with a female drummer followed by female dancers that revealed the singer in a Balmain Nefertiti-inspired crystal-bedecked black, silver, and gold body suit that was fit for a queen. Her outfit was complemented with a black feather headdress and an Egyptian goddess cape. The "Formation" singer was met with cheers by the thousands as she strutted towards the main stage with a gold cobra cane in hand while the band opened with New Orleans Second Line music.
Oliver Rousteing custom designed the singer's five outfits including the outfit worn by Destiny's Child. He collaborated with the singer for all of her looks.
The tribute
The singer paid tribute to her black Texas and Louisiana heritage by adding the sounds of New Orleans jazz and Texas Chopped-N-Screwed sounds into the rendition of some of her greatest hits.
At the beginning of the show, the singer sang the poem "Lift Every Voice and Sing" which is known as the Black National Anthem. Beyoncé showcased the essences of HBCU's (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) culture through stepping and a marching band halftime show performance.

I don’t think I’ll ever see a better show then the one I just watched Beyonce perform tonight. Iam shaken to my bones.

Feel bad for anyone who has to perform on the same stage as Beyonce. She hasn’t missed a step and she’s outdancing and outperforming her entire 200-person squad.
