Netflix's Carmen Sandiego movie will be based on the game
The beloved childhood game focused on the ACME Detective Agency, established to capture the international master thief Carmen Sandiego from committing crimes all over the world.
The game was turned into several television shows which aired from 1991 to 1998. The upcoming Netflix animated series will tell the story of Carmen and how and why she became the international criminal that everyone knows her as.
Deadline has said that the upcoming film will be a standalone film about the criminal mastermind.
This is not the only time that plans have been made to bring the international thief to feature films. In 2012, it was reported that Jennifer Lopez was tied to the property after an earlier attempt was made with Sandra Bullock.
