The famous couple will be touring together for the second time as they hit the stage this June. The announcement was made this morning in a video posted to Beyonce's Instagram page. On The Run II will come four years after their first On The Run Tour in 2014 and marks 10 years since the pair got married.
What we know about the tour
Fans got an unexpected surprise last week after both Beyonce and Ticketmaster's Facebook pages slipped news that the couple would be joining forces for an On The Run 2 tour, however, the brief posts were quickly taken down by the official pages.
But the tour was officially confirmed back on after a series of black and white pictures showing the famous pair together got posted to Beyonce's Instagram, while a page on her website enabled fans to pre-register for pre-sale tickets.
The international outing will stop in 15 cities across the UK and Europe, with the 21-date North American leg beginning July 25 in Cleveland. The OTR II tour is presented by Live Nation Global Touring in association with Beyonce's Parkwood Entertainment and Jay-Z's Roc Nation, all of which is set to kick off on June 6 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
Their first On The Run tour in 2014 proved to be a massive success as the duo performed six weeks of sold-out stadium dates across North America.
The OTR tour promoted the singer's self-titled LP and the rapper's ''Magna Carta Holy Grail." Despite only performing 20 shows together, the husband and wife earned $95 million from their collaboration and will no doubt do the same this time around if we go by fan reactions across Twitter since they unveiled the news.
This isn't the first time they have hinted at news of a collaboration, though.
The couple dropped clues about a joint album release titled "4:44" just last year, with flyers appearing around NYC that got fans excited. Even more recently, the couple appeared on DJ Khaled’s new song “Top Of," and Jay-Z joined Beyonce onstage in New Jersey for the final date of her own “Lemonade” tour in September 2016.
