Tom Schwartz is opening up about his past cheating. Over a year after marrying wife Katie Maloney, the "Vanderpump Rules" star was faced with claims of cheating on the show and while he's admittedly made some horrible, hurtful decisions, he is now confident that he can remain faithful to his wife.

“I just know in my heart,” Schwartz explained to Us Weekly magazine on February 9 when asked how he's so sure he won't cheat on Maloney anymore. According to the longtime reality star and partial owner of the soon-to-be-opened Tom Tom, he doesn't know how his cheating happened to begin with because he was so drunk.

However, he's admitted that his behavior is completely embarrassing and inappropriate. "Maybe if I was single and 22, that would be OK," he reasoned.

During one of the first episodes of the sixth season of "Vanderpump Rules," fans watched as Lala Kent informed Scheana Marie and Ariana Madix that one of her friends had run into Schwartz at a bar in New York City and proceeded to make out with the married reality star. "Knowing that I hurt someone I love," Schwartz said, "It’s really embarrassing." While Schwartz said that he knows the kiss wasn't a huge deal in the "big scope" of their lives, it was still unacceptable and "douchey" of him to do.

Cheating rumors are nothing new for Schwartz. In fact, he was faced with allegations of having slept with another woman while enjoying his bachelor/bachelorette party in New Orleans with nearly every member of the "Vanderpump Rules" cast in July 2016. During the trip, cast members spoke of an alleged past hookup Schwartz had participated in but Schwartz denied that he slept with anyone behind his then-fiancee's back.

Tom Schwartz hasn't always been the best partner and when it comes to his heavy drinking, he seems to get out of control quick. Luckily for him, however, his wife knows his heart and knows that she can trust his future behavior. As she explained to Us Weekly magazine, his mistakes happen when he is blackout drunk and likely come due to some persuasion from the other person.

Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney can be seen on Monday nights in new episodes of "Vanderpump Rules" season six. The show airs at 9 p.m. and also stars the likes of Lisa Vanderpump, Jax Taylor, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, and Tom Sandoval.
