ABC's "Good Morning America" chief meteorologist Ginger Zee gave birth to her second child on Friday, February 9. She and her husband, Ben Aaron, welcomed another baby boy. Their first son, Adrian, was born in December 2015.

On Thursday, Ginger's co-workers gave her a baby shower one day before she was scheduled for a Caesarian section. Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Michael Strahan, and Lara Spencer all gave her a good send-off during the morning talk show. Part of the celebration was presenting her with a cake made out of diapers. She joked that the diapers would last only one week.

Each of her co-workers gave her one of their favorite baby books.

On Thursday night, Ginger participated in her last public event before giving birth. She walked the runway in high heels at the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women’s Red Dress Collection show in New York City just hours before she gave birth. She admitted later that her ankles were swollen, but she put on heels and walked the runway anyway because it would make her feel better.

While waiting for her new baby

Ginger knew her exact due date would be February 9, but she and Ben had not decided on a name.

A week ago, the 37-year-old mother of two sons said they have three names picked out, but they were going to wait until they met their new son before they named him.

While waiting for her new baby to arrive, the meteorologist has been promoting her new book, "Natural Disaster: I Cover Them. I Am One." The title is a play on words relating to Ginger's job and details about dark periods in her life when she suffered from depression.

She shared how she attempted suicide at the age of 21.

Ginger and Ben Aaron have been married for four years. Now their family has gone from just three to a family of four. With her husband and two sons, Ginger is outnumbered. However, she doesn't mind at all.

Zee's replacement while on maternity leave

Rob Marciano will cover Ginger's weekday position Monday through Friday while Sam Champion will take care of Rob's weekend weather duty.

Sam is returning to ABC for a few months starting this weekend.

Zee replaced weathercaster Champion when she became the permanent meteorologist on "Good Morning America." Champion spent 25 years at ABC, including seven years at GMA. He left the network in 2013 for a position on The Weather Channel. He hosted a morning show and a prime-time show for three years. He returned to ABC two years ago when Ginger went on maternity leave to give birth to her first son who was born in December 2015.
