Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo have confirmed the birth of their second child together. The two have become the proud parents of a baby girl, who has been given a similarly original name, Geo Grace!
The couple met in 2012 and chose to tie the knot in Mexico in 2014. In September of last year, The Victoria's Secret model announced her pregnancy in a surprising Instagram post. She posted a picture of herself in a bikini, showing off her growing baby bump, and captioned the image: "Round Two."
A growing family
The announcement came as a shock to many fans who didn't expect the couple to have another child so soon after the birth of their first daughter.
Dusty Rose was born in 2016 and, as well as settling into parenthood, the couple had a lot on their plate professionally. Levine had an important role as a judge in the then-upcoming season 12 of "The Voice" and Prinsloo had an important role in the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai, China.
However, despite their prior commitments, they persevered with expanding their family. Later in the year, Levine confirmed in an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that they were expecting another girl. This time, however, he was insistent on not naming her by himself! "It'll be a collaborative effort," he told Ellen, and their collaboration has paid off with such a unique name.
In the same interview, he told Ellen that they were both eager to expand their family even further.
"She wants like a 100 babies," he joked, "I don't know if I can do that. That's a lot of babies." He went on to say that Prinsloo wants a large family on account of being an only child herself and that he enjoys the chaos of having children.
'A beautiful experience'
Though Dusty Rose is now a big sister to one, the couple are eager to have more children.
Prinsloo has previously said that motherhood has changed how she feels about love, saying, “I see how much room you can give for love." In an interview with People, she explained how motherhood naturally came to her and how Levine is a wonderful father to their eldest daughter. Levine has similarly said, to Harper’s Bazaar, that a lot of fatherhood has been instinctual for him, and that fatherhood has been "a beautiful experience."
Now that Geo Grace has joined the family, the couple will certainly have their work cut out for them with two children under two. However, that most likely won't stop them from making Dusty Rose a big sister to more.
