Hosting duties

After Ferrell left his regular cast member gig at "Saturday Night Live," he went on to make movies that we all know and love. During that time, he didn't stay completely away from the "SNL" set. Ferrell returned numerous times to make cameos on the show with his first time being less than a year after he quit "SNL."

In May of 2005, Ferrell did more than just a cameo and took on the hosting duties for the show.

After that, he returned on May 16, 2009 and then May 12, 2012 to host. it's been almost six years since Ferrell hosted "Saturday Night Live," but he's back and ready to go.

Many fans are hoping that the comedian will bring back some of his old "SNL" characters like the Spartan cheerleader, Harry Caray, or "Jeopardy" host Alex Trebek. No matter what he does, old or new, it will certainly bring on the laughs, because that's what Will Ferrell does best.

Next week on "Saturday Night Live," actress Natalie Portman will host. She hosted once before, all the way back in March of 2006.

Portman is out and about promoting her upcoming film, "Annihilation," which hits theaters on February 23.

Dua Lipa will be the musical guest for the February 3 episode. The singer and model just became the new face of Adidas. With her hot song "New Rules," her recent Adidas campaign, and an appearance on "SNL," it's easy to say that 2018 is going to be a year that Dua Lipa will immensely enjoy.
