More clues are pointing to Adam Newman’s return to “The Young and the Restless.” This week on “Y&R,” Nick finds a hidden stash of cash at home, and spoilers tease he would confront Chelsea about it. Why didn’t she put $250,000 in the bank?
Chelsea stashed money for Adam
Adam Newman (most recently played by Justin Hartley) is presumed dead, but there have been several mentions of him in the past weeks that viewers are already anticipating his comeback. Christian’s paternity issue has been reopened and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) threatened Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) about Christian and Connor being brothers.
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Chelsea even talked about Adam at Crimson Lights.
“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that Chelsea knows Adam is alive, and she has been saving up that money for him. When Nick (Joshua Morrow) discovers the stash, he will get to the bottom of it. He will believe Adam has stolen the cash. How many times did he plan to disappear with Chelsea in the past? Chelsea will immediately run to Adam’s defense. She will rant about Nick always thinking the worst of people, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry. She will be angry that Nick is trashing Adam’s memory and will insist that he was a good man.
Chelsea tries hard to keep her secret
But then Chelsea is indeed hiding something.
“The Young and the Restless” sneak peek said that she will visit the columbarium this week and stash more money in one of the slots, which is none other than Adam’s crypt. Chelsea mourned the loss of her husband, but by now, it is possible that Adam has already reached out to her. “Y&R” spoilers tease that she will try hard to hide her secret.
At the end of the week, she will feel cornered.
February sweeps will include a shocking revelation of Chelsea’s secrets. Spoilers tease that it will rock her relationship with Nick and other people will also be involved—Phyllis, Billy, and Sharon. Nick will lose his trust in Chelsea and will turn to Sharon, raising hopes for a “Shick” reunion.
Who could play Adam Newman?
With Adam’s name being dropped frequently, it seems that the character’s return is imminent. Now the question is who will become his face? Justin Hartley seems out of the question because he is busy with the hit primetime series “This Is Us.” There is a possibility of a recast, but there are rumors that the soap has re-hired Michael Muhney to reprise the role. He played Adam before Hartley, and fans have been clamoring for him to take over the role again. “The Young and the Restless” is yet to confirm the character’s return and the actor playing the role.
“The Young and the Restless” airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
