As mentioned above, Jim Bob Duggar made a surprising joke about Jana being single, so what was the joke? Well, when Jim Bob and some other members of the Duggar family were in Australia they took part in a meet-and-greet which was arranged by the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP). This is a Christian organization that has actually influenced the family in many ways with their clothing style all the way to how they practice courting instead of dating.

When Jim Bob began talking at this meet-and-greet with around a thousand people present, he couldn’t resist making fun of Jana’s singleness by saying “And Jana is — actually, back in the US, it’s her birthday.” He then continued with “Jana is 28 years old and still single, so she’s still praying about the one.” This comment angered some Fans as one wrote: “Is ol’ JB a little salty that lovely, talented Jana isn’t playing along with the real Duggar family business: marrying off its children for profit?” Well, in my opinion, this was just a harmless dad joke that he is known for pulling and some people may just be overreacting.
