"Wayward Pines" season 3 is one of the most keenly anticipated shows of 2017. Unfortunately, it will not be released in 2017. If rumors are to be believed, the show-makers are optimistic that next season will be produced but t, date no release date has been confirmed for the third series of this science fiction show. The upcoming episodes may well produce a few new faces as well.
The show is a Science Fiction Television series. It is based on the "Wayward Pines" novels by Blake Crouch and was directed by M. Night Shyamalan.The TV series premiered on Fox on May 14, 2015.
The second season of the show aired from May 25 to July 27, 2016. Since then fans have been excitedly awaiting some sort of follow-on. There have recently been a number of speculations floating on social media suggesting that there is going to be a continuation and that it will air by the end of 2018.

Next up for the series?
It is worth noting that season 2 ended with a major cliff-hanger, notably that the Abbie family were seen as being alive and doing well. That makes fans curious and suggests that showrunners have already planned for the next season. It will be a shame if the show ends without answers. Fans would love to see the fate of the characters as reported in Entertainment Weekly.
Blake Crouch, the author, suggested that the ending of the previous series was left rather open-ended. Current social media speculation, debates the possible fate for many of the characters and fans are hoping the upcoming season will resolve a number of the open-ended questions they have following season 2. Currently, the producers have not made any statements nor issued any information or teasers regarding the plot of the season 3.
Fans remain impatiently guessing what twists and turns may be expected. Only time will tell how things will pan out for the characters as season 3 hopefully tackles a number of unresolved plot issues.
