luann de lesseps shared a statement of apology to her fans and followers on Twitter following her dramatic arrest in Palm Beach, Florida over the recent Christmas weekend. As fans may have heard, the "Real Housewives of New York City" star was taken into custody just before 1:30 AM on Sunday morning after she reportedly kicked a police officer and threatened to kill people.
On Twitter, LuAnn de Lesseps offered her apologies to anyone who she may have offended with her recent behavior and attempted to explain why she wasn't in the best mindset during her Florida vacation.
"This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding and being here brought up buried emotions," she explained to her online audience. She then promised her fans and followers on Twitter that she was committed to embarking on the New Year in a more positive and hopeful manner.

In response to the longtime reality star's tweet, her followers had mixed emotions. While many were understanding and offered forgiveness to her, others slammed her for her violent behavior. As one person pointed out, de Lesseps should also apologize to the officer who she reportedly kicked. The person also said that one's true self is often revealed after a few drinks. Others slammed the mother of two for using her recent divorce as an excuse to act out.

The reality star appeared to be completely happy and content before her arrest and even posted a photo on Instagram of herself and her co-stars, including Bethenny Frankel, Tinsley Mortimer, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Dorinda Medley, celebrating Christmas in Massachusetts earlier this month.

For the past several weeks, LuAnn de Lesseps and her co-stars have been filming scenes for the upcoming season of "The Real Housewives of New York City." As some may have seen, the women have traveled to a number of destinations since production began, including Florida, Massachusetts and The Hamptons.
As for where else the ladies will be traveling during the upcoming episodes, fans will have to watch and see.
