Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce has dragged on for well over a year and is showing no signs of ending. With the divorce at a standstill, Pitt has reportedly offered Jolie millions of dollars to settle the breakup and move on. Jolie, however, does not want to wrap up the split and is apparently still holding out hopes for reconciling.
Pitt offers Jolie $100 million to end the divorce
An insider told Life & Style that Pitt is not interested in getting back with Jolie. The actor wants to end the divorce as quickly as possible and has been offering Jolie’s lawyers massive sums of money to reach a settlement.
This includes his most recent offer of a whopping $100 Million. Jolie, of course, was the one who pulled the plug on the marriage in the fall of 2016.
The mudslinging got pretty bad in the wake of the divorce after Jolie accused Pitt of abusing their oldest son, Maddox. The accusations were taken seriously, and Pitt found himself at the center of an investigation by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. Considering everything that has happened, Pitt clearly wants to end the divorce and move on with his life as quickly as possible.
Pitt gets a second chance with his kids
While Pitt tries to end the divorce once and for all, he also has big plans for his upcoming birthday.
Hollywood Life reports that Pitt is planning on celebrating his 54th birthday with all six of his kids: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox.
An inside source revealed that Maddox and Pax are going to cook dinner for their dad and that the girls are planning on baking a cake. This past year has been difficult for Pitt, but he couldn’t be happier spending his big day with all of his kids at his side.
In fact, the source claims that Pitt finally feels like he can be a good father and can’t wait to make up for the time he’s already lost.
Does Jolie want to reconcile with Pitt?
Although things are turning around for Pitt, his relationship with Jolie is still complicated. In Touch Weekly reports that Jolie has delayed the divorce proceedings because she wants to get back with Pitt and repair their broken marriage.
Despite filing the bombshell divorce, the actress wants to reconcile because Pitt has turned his life around and isn’t drinking anymore. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like Pitt is willing to forgive Jolie and take her back. Instead, it looks like Pitt is doing everything in his power — even if it means losing money — to end the divorce and get on with his life.
So far, Jolie has rejected all of the settlement offers, but she has gotten more lenient when it comes to the kids. This could be another tactic to get Pitt back as Jolie knows that his children mean everything to him. Whether or not Jolie’s persistence pays off is yet to be seen.
