Barry Allen, meet Clifford DeVoe. Mr. DeVoe, I believe you're already acquainted with the Flash.
Yes, it’s that time of year already – time for “The Flash” heroes to clap eyes on season 4’s villain du jour. In true Arrowverse fashion, Central City’s resident mastermind will hold all the cards. The Thinker will be so sure of his dominance, in fact, that’ll he’ll count his victory complete as soon as Episode 7.
‘The Flash’ Episode 7 Plot Revealed
Amusing titled “Therefore I Am,” episode 7 plays on Descartes “Cogito Ergo Sum,” a phrase the Thinker no doubt takes to heart. Set to air on Nov. 21, the hour will bring hero and villain face-to-face for the first time. As flashbacks roll, “The Flash” will finally key viewers into DeVoe’s (Neil Sandilands) past and, in doing so, reveal his objective.
“Now that they know it’s DeVoe, now it’s about figuring out which DeVoe it is and there’ll be a confrontation sooner rather than later,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly. “As far as he’s concerned, he’s already checkmated Team Flash, and so he doesn’t really give a s**t what they know and when they figure s--t out because he’s going to say in an upcoming episode, ‘You’ve already lost.’”
Luckily, Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) will return to fight the good fight.
Wally is in the midst of his hero’s journey – he knows his powers, but he’s yet to find out where he’s truly needed. Central City already has a speedster, after all. Following an extended trip to Blue Valley, Wally will rejoin the fray during “Therefore I Am.”
“Wally is not gone, certainly, from the Arrowverse, and he’ll be back on ‘Flash’, and more exciting stuff about Wally will be revealed as we move forward,” Kreisberg promised, according to Entertainment Weekly.
And not a moment too soon. Wally needs to be on hand for the wedding of the year. West Allen will tie the knot during the Arrowverse crossover, just one week after DeVoe and Barry’s tete-a-tete.
Next Time on ‘The Flash’
Of course, you can’t have a wedding without the chaos of a bachelor/bachelorette night on the town.
Iris (Candice Patton), Barry (Grant Gustin), and everyone in between will get a little hazy during next week’s episode, which is entirely unfortunate considering the Scarlet Speedster is a magnet for meta disaster. With a title like “Girls Night Out,” however, we can safely assume that trouble will zero in on the hen do.
Sorry, trouble (aka Amunet/Blacksmith) but you picked the wrong women to mess with. Although you’re after Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker), you’re going to have to deal with Iris, Cecile (Danielle Nicolet), and “Arrow’s” Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). Outnumbered much?
Catch “The Flash” Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
