In case you were not aware Anna Duggar is the wife of Josh Duggar. Now, if you have been following this family over the years, then you would know that Josh has been plagued by scandal. The eldest son in the family has been accused of inappropriately touching five women, and two of those five women were his sisters Jill and Jessa Duggar. That is not all Josh has done as he was also one of the men who was revealed to have been using the Ashley Madison website to set you up with an affair with women who weren't his wife. With all of that drama, you would think that his wife Anna would divorce him.
Instead, she decided on couples counseling to work on her marriage.
Why didn’t Anna divorce Josh?
Anna was born into a very conservative family much like the Duggar family, and apparently, her family is a bit stricter than her husband’s. We know this as an unnamed source told People back in 2015 “ [The Kellers] are even a little more extreme.” At one point, the Duggar family thought that Anna was going to leave Josh as an anonymous Duggar family friend had a Reddit AMA, and they said: “When [the scandal] all first came out, Michelle and Jim Bob seemed under the impression (from what Michelle told my mom) that Anna was leaving.” Obviously, something changed Anna’s mind, and that was apparently her own family’s history.
You see, when Anna was going to divorce Josh Duggar, her own family was going through drama as well. For example, Anna’s sister Rebekah was divorcing her husband at the time, and her older brother Daniel also got divorced. Many believe Anna didn't want to follow her sibling’s footsteps and instead worked on her marriage with Josh Duggar.
How is Josh Duggar doing now?
Josh Duggar has just finished treatment and therapy for his marriage and moral issues. Anna and Josh also welcomed their fifth child, Mason into the family. The couple is also the parents of four other children named Merideth, Mackynzie, Micheal and Marcus. You are able to catch up with the rest of the Duggar family on their TLC reality television show “Counting On.” However, Josh does not appear on the show due to his issues with the law.
It is also worth mentioning that Derick Dillard is another Duggar family member that does not appear on the show because he was fired due to his transphobic remarks toward Jazz Jennings.
Time has healed some of the wounds in the Duggar Family. Josh and Anna are moving forward. Fans are hoping Josh will return to the show one day, but for now, he is not allowed to film.
