"Teen Mom OG" star Amber Portwood has confirmed via social media that she and her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon, are expecting their first child together. This will be Amber's second child, her first being her eight-year-old daughter Leah who has featured with her on "Teen Mom OG" since Amber's episode of "16 and Pregnant." Rumors have been swirling for several weeks that Amber was expecting, with The Ashley originally breaking the news that the pair were awaiting a new arrival. Amber missed the "Teen Mom" franchise reunion due to morning sickness, which apparently the cast and crew were already aware of, however, they have been keeping it mum for some time and waiting for Amber herself to make the announcement.

Will she be okay during her pregnancy?

"Teen Mom" fans will recall that Amber Portwood once told fans of the show that she couldn't have children. The mom-of-one, who was dating her ex Matt Baier at the time, stated that while she could conceive a child, it would really "mess with her" if she got pregnant. Amber has admitted that she suffers from several psychiatric disorders that are regulated through medication. She was also famously addicted to drugs for several seasons of the show and went to both rehab and jail in order to kick the habit. Because the medication for her psychiatric illnesses is incompatible with pregnancy, she has previously stated it would be very bad for her mental health if she were to get pregnant.

Nevertheless, she and Andrew are going forward with this pregnancy.

Was the pregnancy planned?

Simon Saran, Farrah Abraham's on-and-off boyfriend recently alleged that the women of "Teen Mom OG" get bonuses for getting pregnant. He also stated that Amber only got pregnant for the gain of the producer of the show, Morgan J. Freeman.

However, Andrew told Us Weekly that the pregnancy was definitely not planned.

"When I first found out, I was a little scared. I just kind of sat down and thought about it and realized that it was a big step in my life and it was a good thing actually, and I was really happy within 30 minutes," Andrew told the outlet.

Amber has not yet revealed what her daughter Leah thinks of the big news, but as she is already a big sister to another little girl from her father's new wife, it seems as though she will be pleased to be one again. Amber has not confirmed whether or not the baby is a boy or a girl or when she is due. She did, however, announce it by writing a cute message on the beach and posting it to Instagram.
