As the release of "Thor: Ragnarok" is fast approaching, more and more fans are wondering whatever happened to Thor's best buds, the Warriors Three? They were established in the first film as Thor's squad who would be with him through thick and thin, but it seems like they've fallen through the cracks as Thor's story progressed in the MCU. Now that the third installment of his film is fast approaching, many people are wondering where Lady Sif is and why Thor is suddenly counting on a new set of friends to help him battle Hela, the Goddess of Death.

For the most part, Marvel has kept mum on the whereabouts of Jaimie Alexander's Lady Sif. But recently, Kevin Feige offered another vague answer to what happened to this MCU character.

Lady Sif is busy

In a recent conversation with Screen Rant, Marvel's Kevin Feige expressed a feeling resembling annoyance when he was asked about Lady Sif's whereabouts in "Thor: Ragnarok," and why she isn't in the film. He replied, "I will quote Maz Kanada from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, 'that is a good question for another time.' Is that the quote? It’s pretty close to that." In another conversation with CinamaBlend (via Comic Book), Feige also explained that "Sif was probably banished [by Loki]. She's off somewhere." It's a good explanation if Loki pretended to be Odin for a long period of time, given his dislike for the Warriors Three.

It also does make sense, given that director Taika Waititi approached the movie as a standalone film.

Thor teaming up with Hulk

Despite Lady Sif's absence in the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok," there's a lot more to look forward to when the titular hero teams up with his "friend from work," the Hulk. In an interview with Comic Book, Kevin Feige said that "We wanted to do something totally different with Thor.

Chris Hemsworth really was like, ‘When do other Marvel players come in with me?’" Feige explained that they were sure they wanted Loki and Hela in it and they played with the idea of Valkyrie in the film as well. Eventually, they figured it would be a great idea to bring in the Green Giant to fight alongside Thor against Hela.

After all, the end of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" saw Hulk flying into the sky, without really establishing a destination for the sole Avenger. When "Thor: Ragnarok" opens in theaters this November, fans will get to see his journey and how he ends up fighting alongside the "Revengers" against Hela, played by Cate Blanchett.
