“Justice League” is one of the most anticipated movies of 2017. DC confirmed the launch date of the movie as being November 17, 2017. The movie is going to start where “Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice,” concluded. In the movie, it was revealed in the end that a dark entity called, “Darkseid,” was making its way to the planet. The visual cues after the credits rolled out were enough proof of this matter. There are chances that the upcoming DC movie might have two villains instead of one. Darkseid is probably going to be accompanied by his cousin called, “Steppenwolf.” He is a powerful warrior from the Fourth World of Apokolips.
With two dangerous enemies to fight, the need for a “Justice League” to be formed had risen.
Ciaran Hinds to play Steppenwolf plus cast details
According to a report by Den of Geek, Ciaran Hinds has been hired to play the role of Steppenwolf. The actor is famous for pulling off Mance Rayder on the popular TV series, “Game of Thrones.” In a recent interview with The Independent, the actor revealed key details about his role. He said that the showrunners were going to “construct” something really big around his eyes and mouth using digital tools. He described his character as being, “old, tired and enslaved.” Therefore, it is safe to assume that Steppenwolf is probably functioning under Darkseid.
Whether Darkseid will end up making an appearance in the movie or not, is not revealed yet. There are chances that Darkseid might end up making a brief appearance. The showrunners would want to keep him reserved for future “Justice League” movies. The current comic series of “Justice League” consists of Darkseid for a very long time.
He is almost impossible to overthrow in the comics. If they were to introduce him in the first Justice League Movie, then they might have to follow director Michael Bay’s footsteps. Bay managed to reserve Megatron in the movie, “The Transformers,” for the whole of the trilogy.
