Ed Sheeran has fans worried when he encountered a bicycle accident that left both his arms injured. In an Instagram photo uploaded Monday, the singer-songwriter was seen wearing a bandage on his right arm and a cast on the other arm after the incident.

He later confirmed that he fractured his right wrist and left elbow and was advised by his doctor to take a rest from performing and touring. Hence, the "Shape of You" crooner announced the cancellation of his "Divide" tour dates in Taipei (Oct. 22), Osaka (Oct. 25), Seoul (Oct. 29), Tokyo (Oct. 31 and Nov.

1), and Hong Kong (Nov. 4-5).

'Divide' tour in jeopardy after bicycle accident

Ed Sheeran added that he and his team will have to observe how his healing progresses before they can make a decision on the upcoming shows in Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Mumbai, and Dubai. After the unfortunate announcement, the singer hit the red carpet at the 2017 Q Awards in London on Wednesday, where he graced a short interview to give an update on his condition.

The 26-year-old artist admitted he sustained bruises and broken bones after the bicycle accident.

"I broke my elbow, broke my wrist, broke a rib," he explained.

In fact, the singer-songwriter was still wearing a bandage and a cast during his first public appearance since the incident. He, however, reassured the media that all was well with him. Ed Sheeran refused to give further details about the accident during the interview.

Fans, celebrities react to Ed Sheeran's accident

Meanwhile, this is not the first time the "Galway Girl" crooner has canceled a show from his "Divide" tour. In September, the singer had to skip his performance in St. Louis for security reasons amidst rallies in the city. Ed Sheeran is currently on the fifth and final leg of his 2017 tour dates.

He has been performing overseas since the tour kicked off in Italy last March. The "Thinking Out Loud" artist is set to be back on the road to continue the concert series with a month-long performance in Australia and New Zealand in March 2018. Ed Sheeran is expected to wrap up his third world tour in Atlanta on November 10, 2018.

Although some fans were saddened about the canceled shows, most of them were still supportive of the decision that will allow the artist to recover from his injuries. Similarly, John Mayer wished Ed Sheeran a speedy recovery from the incident, while Lauv reassured his Filipino fans that he will carry on with his free mall show regardless of what might be decided on Ed Sheeran's Manila show on November 7.
