BTS again added another historic milestone to their names as their latest title track “DNA” has now surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. On October 12 at 7:24 PM (KST Time), the music video of “DNA” hit 100 million views with over 2.5 million likes on YouTube. This is a huge milestone for BTS as they became the fastest K-Pop group to achieve 100 million views for a music video in just 21 days and one hour after its release on September 18, 2017. The previous record was held by BLACKPINK’s “As If It’s Your Last” music video with which they achieved 100 million views in 46 days.

The boys are definitely making history for K-Pop music since they release their much-awaited album “Love Yourself: Her” on September 18, 2017.

Nine million Twitter followers for BTS

After breaking and creating new records in the music world, BTS also broke the Twitter record for the most followed Korean act with nine million followers. On September 12, the group’s official Twitter account (BTS_twt) hit nine million followers. It was a little bit over one month after hitting eight million followers. The increasing popularity of BTS is clearly shown as they added another one million followers in just a short span of time.

‘Love Yourself: Her’ breaks another record

The first album of BTS, after revealing their new “brand identity,” has been creating records in the music world.

Prior to its release, the album “Love Yourself: Her” already sold one million pre-orders and sold 760,000 copies within the first week of its release. And now, the album reigns on the top spot for the most sold album in a month on Gaon Chart. On October 13, Gaon Chart released their official monthly album chart for September 2017 with BTS’ album at number one after its release on September 18.

The copies sold 1,203,533 in a month. It is the highest sales in Gaon Chart history for just one album (not a repackaged album). It is also the first time in 16 years that an album has sold over 1.2 million copies after g.o.d’s fourth album sold 1,441,209 copies in 2001.

Meanwhile, BTS first show on MNet entitled "BTS Countdown" released its first episode on September 12, during which they performed their new hits and fan-favorites songs, thanking their fans by showing them their incredible performances. According to insiders, the boys started filming their first show last week. Also, BTS is currently on tour for their first dome concert in Japan!
