Celebrities are coming together to help the victims of the recent mass shooting at a Las Vegas concert on Sunday. Some of them promised to give monetary donations to aide the people involved, while others are using their voice to call for tougher gun control laws to prevent the same incident from happening again in the future.

Celine Dion, who held her first Las Vegas show since the shooting on Tuesday, vowed to give the proceeds of her concert to the victims of the mass shooting. The five-time Grammy winner even broke down in tears when she talked about the recent incident before her fans at the Caesars Palace.

Deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history

The deadly attack in Las Vegas took the lives of 59 people, including suspect Stephen Craig Paddock, and injured about 500 concertgoers of the Route 91 Country Music Festival. Authorities said the suspect fired from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort, where he was found dead.

It was also revealed that the police have discovered high-powered weapons and explosives in his hotel room and Nevada house. The mass shooting took place in the middle of Jason Aldean's final set of the music event. The country singer quickly stormed off the stage after hearing the second round of gunfire.

The incident has also forced him to cancel his shows in California scheduled over the weekend.

Similarly, Jennifer Lopez has also decided to cancel her performances at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas as a sign of respect to the victims and the bereaved families of those who did not survive the mass shooting.
