Rumors of Roy Harper’s “Arrow” return now have the seal of approval from the series’ titular hero himself. Stephen Amell has entered the growing hype surrounding Colton Haynes next appearance, and his comments have done nothing but bolster our spirits.
Over the last month, Colton Haynes (Roy) and Amell (Oliver) have taken to social media to confirm Arsenal’s season 6 status. Curious as to what the pair have to say about pulling the fan favorite out of the depths of Blood Haven? Read on for their teasers!
When Will Arsenal Return To ‘Arrow’?
Star City is accustomed to seeing a certain set of vigilantes patrolling the rooftops, their silhouettes a promise of justice in a town rife with crime.
Oliver Queen is no longer among their ranks, but it seems his protégé is plotting a comeback. Although there’s debate as to the why Amell has addressed the when.
Amell’s statements fall in line with Haynes’, which he expressed back in September.
Roy's coming back very soon 🤗

As of now, The CW has yet to confirm Haynes involvement. Nevertheless, there’s a host of reasons why the fugitive would choose now, of all times, to test his luck.
Why Will ‘Arrow’ Bring Roy Harper Back?
The last time Ollie and co. received a surprise visit from the former purse-snatcher, he was up to his old tricks. But this was only because someone was controlling him. Once freed of the Calculator’s blackmail, Roy had only one thing on his mind: checking up on the woman who inherited his red leathers.
Thea (Willa Holland) was no longer concerned with satiating her Lazarus Pit bloodlust, but she was engaged in another throw down with her own mortality.
Could Roy show up to join Team Arrow’s six-month-long vigil by her bedside? Even if he’s moved on romantically in the ensuing years, that doesn’t preclude him from caring for her wellbeing.
Not to mention the wellbeing of Team Arrow. Despite the addition of Dinah (Juliana Harkavy), Rene (Rick Gonzalez), and Curtis (Echo Kellum), Oliver’s former team was down an archer even before he set down his bow. With Diggle (David Ramsey) faltering thanks to Lian Yu, Arsenal’s skills might soon be in high demand.
In the meantime, “Arrow” is slowly unveiling season 6’s rogues’ gallery of villains.
FBI Special Agent Samandra Watson (Sydelle Noel), a vengeful Arkady (Vyto Ruginis), and Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) are just the appetizers of this year’s villain buffet.
"Normally we have a big bad villain, but this year there's kind of a villain for every character,” Amell explained at Toronto's Fan Expo. “I say that because there is a villain for Green Arrow, but there's also a villain for Oliver Queen."
Could Roy turn against his old pals and join that lineup? Find out when “Arrow” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
