Anna Faris and Chris Pratt were an almost-perfect pair until their marriage hit rock bottom just a few months ago. In a joint statement released on social media, the celebrity couple announced their decision to separate after eight years of marriage. The pair did not provide further details about the split but instead asked the public to respect their privacy.
Not much has been said about the separation, but one thing is for sure, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are still good friends despite what happened in their marriage. In fact, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor wrote the foreword for his former wife's book, "Unqualified," which will be launched on October 24.
“He was so kind to do that,” Anna Faris said during her "Live with Kelly and Ryan" appearance. “He’s amazing. We’re great friends and we always will be.”
She also agreed that it is important to remain friends with an ex-lover after a relationship fails. "Life is too short," she added.
Anna Faris and Chris Pratt ended their marriage after eight years
Anna Faris and Chris Pratt were together for 10 years since they started dating during the filming of "Take Me Home Tonight" in 2007. The former couple shares a five-year-old son named Jack, who was born nine weeks early and had to spend a month in the NICU before he was discharged.
Since the split, Chris Pratt has been quiet on social media -- unlike Anna Faris, who has been actively promoting her upcoming book and book tour online.
But, more than making her presence felt for her new project, the actress is also making headlines for her rumored relationship with Michael Barrett. An Entertainment Tonight report addressed those rumors.
Anna and Chris after the separation
In paparazzi photos released a few days ago, the mother of one was spotted at a Los Angeles carnival with the cinematographer.
Reports claimed that the pair is working together on Anna Faris' upcoming big screen project, "Overboard," which is an adaptation of a 1987 movie of the same title.
Multiple sources told Hollywood Life that the rumored couple has gone on several dates since the separation was announced. An eyewitness claimed they saw Anna Faris and Michael Barrett on a dinner date at an L.A.
restaurant and said that the actress was all smiles until she left the place with her rumored beau.
Neither has spoken up to confirm or deny these rumors. Meanwhile, a separate source told the publication that these reports linking Anna Faris to Michael Barrett are still "too painful" for Chris Pratt, who is still "very heartbroken" over the split.
