The Kardashian reality TV stars seem to be a family that has it all, drama included. But once in a while, life does remind them that it is all fleeting. In fact, makeup entrepreneur Kylie Jenner recently had a "wake-up call" that made her appreciate her family even more. Growing up in the spotlight, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashian" star looked like she had it all. And she does, given that she's now the star of her own reality series, "Life of Kylie," and the CEO of Kylie Cosmetics. The 20-year-old is achieving success, but she never forgets what really matters in life: family.

In a recent episode of "Life of Kylie," the reality TV star said how her best friend, Jordyn Woods, lost her father back in January. This served as a rude awakening for Jenner. According to Just Jared, "it was difficult to see her best friend go through such a devastating experience because the two are very close." Jenner realized that she would experience losing her father too eventually. The youngest Jenner sister added that when her best friend lost her dad, "it definitely made me appreciate my dad a little more. It was a wake-up call that nothing lasts forever and we just have to appreciate the people that we love while they’re here."

Reality TV star on sharing her personal life

Unlike the other Kardashian sisters who have a strained relationship with Caitlyn Jenner following her transition in 2015, Kylie Jenner has a good relationship with her.

Now that Jenner has her own reality series titled "Life of Kylie," she is letting the world know more about herself beyond what they see on social media. The 20-year-old told The Hollywood Reporter, "I feel like I've been hiding myself and my personal life for a really long time, so I thought it was time to do this show and hopefully be a little more understood."

Makeup mogul on oversharing

There is a small price to pay for being the person who is constantly under the spotlight, however, Kylie Jenner has been the topic of most tabloid newspapers especially when she dated Tyga at the age of 16.

Tyga is seven years her senior. She told THR that "When you involve the whole world, everyone has an opinion. It's not the healthiest. That part of your life should remain sacred." Given the fact that her older sisters' romantic relationships were more exposed to the public, both Kylie and her older sister Kendall know better than to show it off to the world. They both admitted that they've learned from their older siblings and have chosen to keep their dating life private.
