kelly dodd is a very outspoken person and she is learning how to fit in on "The Real Housewives of Orange County." During her first season of the show, Kelly managed to anger many of her co-stars, but Vicki Gunvalson thought that they could be great friends. They were both outspoken and they both faced issues with their co-stars. Kelly and Vicki grew closer while "The Real Housewives of Orange County" was on hiatus last year, but Kelly managed to be somewhat cordial with her co-stars.

While Vicki didn't want to work things out with her "The Real Housewives of Orange County" co-stars, Kelly decided that it would be best to apologize to Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador for her behavior.

All of the ladies could come together at her house for a beach volleyball party earlier this year, which played out on the show. But the party didn't happen without some drama. According to a new report, Kelly Dodd is now revealing that it was nice to see Shannon facing some issues on her own and not relying on Tamra to come to her defense.

Not defending Shannon

Even though Beador expressed disappointment in Tamra for not coming to her defense, Kelly reveals that it was nice to see Shannon handle problems herself. As fans saw, Beador rushed down to Tamra's defense when she was talking to Vicki. It appears as if she's scared of Tamra and Vicki becoming friends, making her the third wheel.

"For once she kept her cool and kept everything in perspective.

It was interesting to see Shannon literally stand behind Tamra to back her up in her argument with Vicki, but then Tamra didn’t reciprocate when Shannon’s argued with Lydia. A smart move on Tamra’s part," Kelly Dodd writes in her Bravo blog, revealing it was nice to see Shannon standing up for herself and fixing some of the problems that tend to surface when she's around.

Friendships over forever?

Tamra has revealed that she is not interested in a friendship with Vicki. Shannon has said that she wants nothing to do with her either. Kelly Dodd doesn't understand why the ladies can't get along with her, especially when they are at parties. It sounds like Tamra and Shannon are done with Vicki. At first, Judge was ready to meet Vicki for coffee, but after she heard the gay rumors surrounding her husband and how it had surfaced at Gunvalson's birthday party, she changed her mind.

What do you think of Kelly Dodd's comments that Shannon needs to learn to stand up for herself?
