Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton are expecting their second child! During their attendance at the 2017 Emmy Awards, the "Supernatural" actor confirmed that Baby No. 2 was on the way when he placed his hand on his wife's baby bump.
The celebrity couple did not provide further details about the pregnancy; however, Jeffrey Dean Morgan had a slip of the moment at the "Supernatural" convention where he accidentally revealed that he and his wife were expecting a baby girl.
How romance started for Morgan and Burton
The whole incident has left the actor no room to stop the news from spreading.
Hence, the "Walking Dead" star took to Instagram to confirm his baby's gender. "I texted Hilarie Burton right after I spilled the little girl beans," he wrote. "And, as usual... she was a rockstar. After all these years she's come to expect me to be a dope."
In an interview, Jeffrey Dean Morgan revealed that it was his "Supernatural" co-star Jensen Ackles who introduced him to Hilarie Burton. He recalled that he was single that time when his co-actor thought of setting him up on a blind date.
"I talked her into going to — I was on my way to do a movie called "The Resident" in New Mexico and she was on her way to Paris — and I talked her into, instead of going to Paris, to come and see me in New Mexico.
And I ruined her life, and now she's stuck with me," he recalled.
The couple had kept their relationship private until Hilarie Burton stunned the public when she gave birth to their son, Augustus, in 2010. The birth of their child came shortly after Jeffrey Dean Morgan found out that he had a son with his ex-partner, Sherrie Ross.
Inside Morgan and Burton's private life
Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan initially planned not to reveal their child's name to the public in order to protect him. The "One Tree Hill" alum, however, eventually opened up her life as a parent of a seven-year-old child to her fans.
In fact, she regularly shares photos of Augustus on her Instagram account to update her followers on how her family is doing.
She even joked about her husband's evil character as Negan on "The Walking Dead" and explained how it has helped him become a better father to their son.
"It's made him good cop at home. He gets all his bad cop stuff out of the way at work, and then he comes home, and he's happy dad," she mused.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan echoed the same sentiment and even considered playing an antagonist role a "key to success with home life." The actor is set to return as Negan when "The Walking Dead" season 8 premieres on October 22.
