After much hype and speculation, Kim Kardashian finally confirmed that she is expecting her third child with Kanye West in the new trailer of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" season 14 unveiled Thursday. In the sneak peek, Kim Kardashian revealed the good news to her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, via Facetime.

Inside Kim and Kanye's growing family

It was in June when the couple was first reported to be expecting an addition to their growing family. Reports further claimed that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had hired a surrogate to carry Baby No. 3.

The two, however, remained tight-lipped on the issue until the big reveal in the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" trailer.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the pair has decided to resort to surrogacy after Kim Kardashian suffered from complications during her pregnancies with North (4) and Saint (1). In fact, the TV personality had previously opened up about her fears and struggles while pregnant with their second child.

She even considered pregnancy as "the worst experience of [her] life" and admitted that she does not understand how other people enjoy the whole process. Kim Kardashian cited swelling and backaches as two of the many reasons why she disliked the experience.

“Or just the complete mindf**k of how your body expands and nothing fits,” she said.

“I just always feel like I'm not in my own skin.”

The 36-year-old was also diagnosed with preeclampsia while pregnant with Saint. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star explained that the "serious condition" had caused swelling to her body and face that had made her uncomfortable and insecure.

Complications of pregnancy

Kim Kardashian, however, realized that all of her complaining was worth it when North and Saint arrived in their lives.

Her struggles with pregnancy did not stop when Baby No. 2 was born. In fact, the TV personality was diagnosed with placenta accreta after she gave birth to their second child.

"This is a high-risk condition that happens when the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall," she explained. "My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails."

The mother of two then thanked her doctors for the immediate medical attention and for successfully performing a series of follow-up surgeries after childbirth. Fortunately, Kim Kardashian will not have to go through all of these procedures for her third child with Kanye West.
