Be careful: major spoilers for "Game of Thrones" Season 8 will follow! In a previous article, it was explained why the "Game of Thrones" season 8 scripts circulating online are likely to be fake. Nonetheless, for those who love spoilers, here is very interesting information about what is going to happen to Cersei Lannister in the first episodes of "GOT" season 8.
Where these spoilers come from
Leakers Frikidoctor and Awayforthelads correctly predicted almost everything that happened in "Game of Thrones" season 7. Regarding the season finale, both leakers reported a Cersei scene that actually didn't air in the last episode of the season.
According to many fans, this may indicate that the scene is very likely to be included in the first episodes of season 8 (unless the writers decide to cut it for some reason). What scene are we talking about? The one in which Cersei loses her greatest treasure...
It's all about Cersei and Jaime's child
The leakers wrote about a scene in episode 7 where "Cersei awakens in a bed soaked with blood." Why? Because her precious baby, her only hope for House Lannister's future, is lost. It's interesting to note that this piece of information fits perfectly with the prophecy of Maggy the Frog (the witch who told young Cersei that she would have three children). If Cersei is really going to miscarry in season 8, her fourth child will never be born.
The consequences of Cersei's miscarriage may be explosive: now that Jaime abandoned her to keep his word in terms of fighting the White Walkers, the Queen is more lonely (and alone) than ever.
What is Cersei going to do?
These spoilers shed new light on what Cersei may do in the next season of the show. How is she going to react to the miscarriage?
It's really hard to say. It can be speculated that she may:
- Try to rebuild her relationship with the only man that matters for her: her brother Jaime
- Finally become the Mad Queen (remember the Mad King Aerys II?)
- Reconsider Daenerys' proposal and join the Great War against the Others.
As has already been stated, it's extremely difficult to imagine what the queen will do when (and if) such a tragedy takes place.
A child would have provided her with further motivation to keep following her plan to conquer the Seven Kingdoms, while Daenerys and Jon Snow are busy with the Night King and his army. The miscarriage is probably going to make Cersei's next moves unpredictable!
