amal clooney just gave birth to her and george clooney’s twins in June, but at just as young as 12-weeks-old, the newborn babies are now showing their own distinct personalities. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 56-year-old new daddy proudly shared some things about his kids while promoting his latest movie, “Suburbicon,” at the Venice Film Festival. Named Alexander and Ella, the proud dad revealed that they actually differ from each other.
The twins’ personality
"They start out with a personality right off the bat," George Clooney told EW.
He revealed that Alexander is already a thug and even compared the little one to a moose as he is just sitting and eating.
His co-star Matt Damon agreed with what he said. People wrote that Clooney said “He looks like he could bounce right now, some place in Hollywood,” and Damon chimed in, “Like, checking IDs on the way into the nursery.” Ella, on the other hand, was described by her father as “elegant, and all eyes....She looks like Amal,” he said.
Choosing simple names
Regarding the names of George and Amal Clooney’s twins, the actor revealed that they wanted to give them simple and normal monikers.
As the “ER” star and his wife are both public figures, he is sure that their kids are going to be looked at, watched, and judged a lot, so they opted to give them simple and easy to spell names.
In fact, the “Ocean’s Eleven” protagonist even revealed that their names are not inspired by well-known people like "Alexander the Great and Ella Fitzgerald."
Believing he is now a father
George Clooney also unveiled that he has been preparing himself to be a dad since Amal Clooney fell pregnant last fall. As a matter of fact, he couldn't even believe that he would be actually a father until his wife gave birth in June.
Things didn’t really sink in that fast until his kids came out into this world and he saw them covered with “slime” and crying.
“We were just two and now we're four. Everything changes pretty quickly," he touchingly said.
The couple’s first public appearance after birth
In other news, George and Amal Clooney made their first public appearance at the 74th Venice Film Festival. This was the first time that they graced a red carpet event after the birth of Alexander and Ella.
Amal looked as gorgeous as ever with her stunning lilac Versace gown while her husband was wearing his signature tuxedo by Armani. “Suburbicon” is set to hit the theaters on Oct. 27.
