K-Pop fans all over the world were ecstatic when The Chainsmokers confirmed their first-ever collaboration with popular idol group BTS or Bangtan Boys on Monday. An affiliate of the EDM duo, Andrew Taggart has worked side by side with the K-pop group's Rap Monster, Suga, and J-Hope for a track, called "Best Of Me," off their upcoming album, "Love Yourself: Her," which is expected to be released on September 18.

The Chainsmokers collaborates with BTS on new song

Billboard confirmed that the disc jockey took part in writing the "energetic dance track" along with the rap line members of the K-pop group.

This will serve as the first U.S. collaboration for BTS on an album track after they were recognized at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards held in Las Vegas last May.

It is worth noting that the seven-member idol group dethroned Justin Bieber from his winning streak for the Top Social Artist award. During their attendance at the annual event, the BTS members had the chance to meet some of the most popular artists in the music industry, including Halsey, Camila Cabello, and The Chainsmokers' Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall who took to social media to express their love for the boys.

The EDM-pop duo even hinted at a potential collaboration with the K-pop group after their first meeting on the U.S. soil.

As promised, fans of The Chainsmokers and BTS will soon hear a fresh tune from two of the most popular acts in the music scene. After the collaboration was announced, the "Don't Let Me Down" artists expressed their desire to meet the K-pop group while in Korea to perform for the Hyundai Card Culture Project scheduled on September 11-12.

What to expect from BTS comeback?

Not much has been revealed about the K-pop group's comeback performances and album. However, BTS confirmed their plan to hold "BTS COMEBACK SHOW" to perform the new songs off their mini album.

The live broadcast is reportedly happening on September 21 at 8:30 p.m. (KST) which will air live on Mnet and Mnet Japan.

Overseas fans can also watch the live broadcast on several streaming platforms to witness the comeback performance of the boys. The "BTS COMEBACK SHOW" is also expected to take the viewers behind-the-scenes of the album production process.

A week before the highly anticipated album launch, the K-pop boy group unveiled the trailer of "Serendipity," featuring Jimin, to kick off the promotion of their upcoming album. The video reportedly garnered over seven million views in the first 24 hours of release.
