Bangtan Boys, best known as BTS, has once again proven their popularity overseas after winning the Favorite International Artist or Group award at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards Mexico held on Sunday. According to Soompi, the K-Pop idols were up against Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, and Camila Cabello for the recognition. Their official fan group, called ARMY, was also nominated for the Best Fandom category.

BTS win big at 2017 BBMAs

This will mark their second time winning against Justin Bieber after they snatched the Top Social Artist trophy from the Canadian singer at 2017 Billboard Music Awards.

The seven-member boy group graced the annual event held in Las Vegas to personally receive the international award.

BTS was also recognized at the recent Teen Choice Awards where they earned the Choice International Artist award against fellow K-pop boy bands EXO, MONSTA X, and SEVENTEEN, as well as CD9 and CNCO. The "Blood, Sweat & Tears" group became the second K-pop act to win the said award after Super Junior in 2015.

Meanwhile, BTS is currently gearing up for their upcoming return to the music scene. Several news outlets claimed that the rising K-pop idols are set to make a comeback on September 18. However, a source affiliated with Big Hit Entertainment has clarified that the date has not been confirmed.

BTS collaborates with local, international artists

Aside from their highly-anticipated comeback, the boy group recently kicked off their "Love Yourself" series with its first highlight reel released on August 16. The said series will feature the stories of the seven members and will run until 2018.

While waiting for the confirmation of their comeback date, the BTS members are currently preparing for their performance at the 25th-anniversary concert of Seo Taiji on September 2.

Allkpop reported that the K-pop idols will share the stage with the veteran artist to perform eight collaborations.

Their setlist includes "I Know," "As the Night Deepens," "You In My Dreams," "Hayeoga," "Classroom Idea," "To You," "Come Back Home," and a bonus track.

Aside from their local activities, BTS has been rumored to be collaborating with several international artists, including The Chainsmokers, Major Lazer, Diplo and more.

In fact, Diplo personally announced that he will be making a movie with the K-pop idols.

Although he did not provide further details about the collaboration, it is worth noting that the American artist and record producer has worked with 2NE1's CL and BIGBANG's G-Dragon in the past.
