Barbara Corcoran, member of the investor panel on "Shark Tank," is joining Season 25 of "Dancing with the Stars" that premieres on September 18, 2017. In the past, the real estate mogul had adamantly rejected the idea. Many fans of the show are surprised that Corcoran has agreed to strut her stuff in sequins on the biggest ballroom floor in America.

The 68-year-old successful entrepreneur has been part of "Shark Tank" since it premiered in 2009. That reality show seems ideal for Corcoran where she has a lot of control. On "Dancing with the Stars" she will lose some of that control and power and will be at the mercy of her dance partner, the viewers, and of course, the judges.

One can just imagine what the dynamics will be like between her and head judge Len Goodman.

When Barbara rejected the idea before, it was because she did not want to take time away from her young son at home. Perhaps she changed her mind because he is an adult now.

Barbara said she is a good candidate to compete because she has tremendous legs. In fact, she said she is a perfect candidate because of her really strong legs.

It is no surprise that the producer paired Barbara up with Keo Motsepe because he usually gets the older women. His partners have been 66-year-old Charo and 64-year-old Chaka Khan. Hopefully, Barbara can help the 27-year-old South African stay in the running longer than he has in previous seasons.

Third from 'Shark Tank'

No one knows in advance how Corcoran will perform on the dance floor, but she is the third member of "Shark Tank" to be a contestant. Robert Herjavec competed on Season 20 in 2015 with pro partner Kym Johnson. They did not win the Mirrorball Trophy, but there was a lot of chemistry between the two who started dating and got married in 2016.

Before Herjavec was a contestant, Mark Cuban competed in Season 5. Kym Johnson was also the pro partner for the Dallas Mavericks owner and entrepreneur. Even though the billionaire was a disco dancing instructor during his college days, he and Kym were eliminated in the fifth week.

Official cast

The entire cast of "Dancing with the Stars" will be announced on "Good Morning America" on September 6.

Season 25 should be an interesting one since it marks a milestone. Fans are looking forward to seeing Nick and Vanessa Lachey compete with another married couple, Peta Murgatroyd, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Mark your calendar to watch "GMA" on September 6 and "DWTS" on September 18.
