“Game of Thrones” Season 7 was filled with endless twists and turns. The season finale was among the most-watched episodes of the entire TV series. The final season of the show is rumored to come in 2019.
A look back at 'Game of Thrones' spoilers
Fans learned in the last episode that Jon Snow (Kit Harington) gave allegiance to Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). After much persuasion from Dany’s side, Snow had agreed to “bend the knee” to her. They shared an emotional moment wherein Snow even asked her what she would feel if he referred to her as, “My queen.” With this, the Starks and the Targaryens have joined forces to build up a tough force to fight against the White Walkers.
In order to try and curb Cersei Lannister's evil plans, they met her at King's Landing to discuss a truce. While there, Cersei expressed her wishes for the "King of the North" (Snow) to bend his knee to her, but she then learned that Dany has already been extended this opportunity. After discovering that Snow had already accepted Dany as her queen, Cersei walked out of the meeting.
Tyrion Lannister decided to intervene and show a rather bold attitude. He is aware of the hate that his sister has for him. Despite it all, he decided to enter her chambers (with The Mountain a few steps away from killing him) and convince her to give into the truce. That’s where the scene cut off. Next thing viewers see is Cersei walking out and agreeing to the peace pact.
It was only later discovered that she had been lying to them all. Her true intentions were to carry out the pact she made with Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek) and the Golden Company. After discovering her horrifying plans on killing off whoever survived the battle against the Night King, even her incest-partner Jaime couldn’t bear to be with her.
Jaime walked out on Cersei and was seen deciding to join the fight against the White Walkers with Jon and Dany.
What Lena Headey has to say?
A report by Express quoted Lena Headey (who plays the character of Cersei Lannister) as saying that her lie will probably be shocking. What Lena means is that the “lie” will be shocking for Cersei herself.
Maybe, she will finally realize what she did was wrong. There are chances that the Golden Company might already be working with Jon Snow. This will lead to a miserable failure to all her plans. With not even Jaime by her side, she will have a difficult time surviving till the end. “Game of Thrones” Season 8 is expected to air in 2019, which is two years from now.
