Whether your "Harry Potter" addiction started in 1997 with the books, 2001 with the movies, or at some point in between, you know just how much the magic of the series impacts normal life. There are thousands of us that would be lying if we said we never dreamt of going to Hogwarts. Although it might not be the exact same thing, we do have a little bit of luck on our side, especially if we're near London.
'Hogwarts after Dark'
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London has decided to host "Hogwarts after Dark" for Halloween this year. On Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29, visitors to the park will be able to experience a very magical Halloween dinner at Hogwarts.
Before even entering Hogwarts, guests will be able to enjoy dry ice cocktails that smoke and canapés.
Once inside, even more magic begins. Guests will enter the Great Hall, which will be decorated for Halloween. There will be floating pumpkins like we've seen in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone." The long tables will be covered with apples, pumpkins, and cauldrons full of lollipops.
Inside the Great Hall, guests will be served a two-course meal as well as drinks. For dessert, guests will be escorted to the Forbidden Forest. Guests will be enjoying their meal surrounded by original props and costumes, including magical creatures such as Buckbeak the Hippogriff and Aragog the Acromantula.
Enjoying the magic
Aside from what will be a wonderful and magical meal, there are many other magical aspects about "Hogwarts after Dark." Guests will be able to see the spooky and magical Death Eaters throughout the attraction, wearing original costumes from the film. It will be possible for guests to see the costumes up close and get a look at some of the more intricate details.
Guests will be able to wander through Studio Tours after hours. This gives fans the chance to get a closer look at rooms such as the Gryffindor common room and the kitchen from the Weasley's home. There will also be a chance to talk with members that made props for the set to learn interesting new facts about props in the movies and how they worked.
Don't forget to stop and learn wand combat moves in order take part in a duel against the Death Eaters!
As the night winds down to an end, guests will be invited to grab a Butterbeer and explore Diagon Alley after dark. For an even creepier night, the shopping alley will be dim and patrolled by Death Eaters. For the lucky fans that get to go to this event, be prepared to be out for quite a night. The event is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM and end at midnight. A truly magical Halloween!
