The film had many firsts like it got the best opening at the box office, in spite being directed by a female director and was acclaimed for the best live-in-action film directed by a female director. Apart from that, it also the highest grossing film at the domestic box office beating Fast and Furious 5 and 6. "Wonder Woman" currently stands at over $400 million domestically and the worldwide collections stand at almost $800 million and more. It also becomes one of the 19 films to achieve this number and painting its range at the U.S/ Canada chart.
Recently, Collider.com conducted a research on movies based on their worldwide business, and also analyzed it on the domestic front.
And after compiling the data they concluded that Wonder Woman has made to the 11th spot in terms of the most super successful superhero film in the world. And it is quite impressive to see that just a few months after its release the film is already in the 11th spot. Other films that made the list are- Marvel’s "Avengers" which bagged the first spot followed by "Avengers Age Of Ultron" and "Iron Man" 3 in the lead.
Top 100 earning movies
"Wonder Woman" also holds the 68th position on the list of top 100 highest grossing films ever, but James Cameron’s "Avatar" is still at number one spot with $2.788 billion. The successful film is soon going to have its sequel and is slated to release in 2019. And fans are already excited after knowing about its sequel.
Meanwhile, Gal Gadot will be seen in Justice league where she will be essaying the role of "Wonder Woman" along with Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as Flash and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. the film is all set to release in November. And with the popularity that Gal has gained after "Wonder Woman," it's clear that Justice League will also wonder on screen and will definitely manage to impress the audience and critics as well.
