Emily Maynard has been keeping a big secret from fans; she's pregnant. The news broke this week as her husband, Tyler Johnson, shared a video of her walking with her son, having some ice cream. She's clearly pregnant and it looks like she could give birth within just a few weeks. But this is the first time that "Bachelorette" fans are hearing about this pregnancy and it sounds like Emily has kept it a secret for a reason. When she was pregnant previously, Maynard would announce it via a tabloid or perhaps even on her own Instagram page. This time around, however, she has kept the secret for almost a full pregnancy and no one has even leaked the pregnancy despite seeing her in public in Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to a new report, Emily Maynard is pregnant with her fourth child and this means she will have three children under the age of three. Perhaps this is scaring her a bit, as it will be quite a handful. She currently has Ricki, who is 12. She is the child of Ricky Maynard, who passed away before she was born. After getting married to Tyler, Emily gave birth to Jennings, Tyler, and Gibson Kyle, who are keeping her busy. Even though this pregnancy may be a bit scary, one can imagine she's excited.
Got what she wanted
Emily Maynard has always been open and honest about wanting a big family. She has never hidden the fact that she always wanted a loving family, a supportive husband, and many children.
She really wanted this when she went on "The Bachelorette" several times, but never found what she was looking for. She found her husband in her local city and it turns out they had plenty in common. It didn't take them long to get married and pregnant. While Emily may never have thought it was possible for her to have the life she has today, one could argue that her dream is merely coming true.
Emergency surgery
So why hasn't Emily Maynard shared her pregnancy news with the world? As it turns out, she had to have an Emergency Surgery when she was 6 months along. One can imagine this was scary for her.
"This pregnancy has been filled with lots of hot wings, ranch dressing, an emergency appendix surgery at 6 months, and swollen ankles all day every day but I wouldn't change it for the world," she explains on her Instagram page.
In addition, this is her fourth child so maybe she just wanted to make sure she was alright. Lastly, it is possible that she just doesn't care about living in the public eye anymore and didn't think about announcing it.
