Val Chmerkovskiy just witnessed his big brother Maksim get married in a fairytale wedding, and now it looks like he could be the next Chmerkovskiy to walk down the aisle. After months of dating rumors, the “Dancing With the Stars” pro dancer has revealed that he is in love with fellow “DWTS” pro Jenna Johnson.
Val Chmerkovskiy recently gushed about his brother’s wedding to Peta Murgatroyd at Oheka Castle, telling The Insider it was a “beautiful” ceremony ad that he’s happy to finally have a “sister” in Peta. And then, in a more surprising declaration, Val admitted that he could have a case of “the wedding bug” himself.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the younger Chmerkovskiy revealed that he is “in a great place and I’m in love, and I’m very grateful for that.”
A semi-secret romance
Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson were previously playing coy about their romance, going so far as to tease fans with separate social media posts taken during their European vacation earlier this year. Val and Jenna posted several shots taken at the same locations in Rome and France, but not with the other party in the photo. The coy couple even posted similar captions to their near identical photos, causing fans to speculate that they were traveling together.
Out in the open
The “DWTS” pros were much more front and center during Maks and Peta’s wedding in July, where they posed for a series of photos that made it clear they are an item.
The “Dancing With the Stars” lovebirds shared a kiss that was caught on camera and later hammed it up in a photo booth with the bride and groom. And to seal the deal, earlier this month, Val dug through his vacation photo archives to finally post photos from his France trip with his lady by his side.
Accusing to Us Weekly, Jenna and Val previously ended their on-again-off-again romance in 2016, but they sparked reconciliation rumors this summer after enjoying that romantic European vacation together.
Val briefly dated his brother Maks’ “Dancing With the Stars” Season 23 partner, Amber Rose during his “break” from Jenna, but it took a long time for him to go public with that relationship.
One month after Maks and Peta’s rainbow filled ceremony, “Dancing With the Stars” fans would love to see another wedding. And with Valenna going strong, they really could be the next stars to dance their way down the aisle.
“Dancing with the Stars” returns to ABC for Season 25 in September.
