As the truth is now gradually unfolding in Elizabeth “Liz” Keen’s (Megan Boone) eyes, it looks like Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) will do everything to hide all his dirty secrets. As there are swirling rumors Liz will finally meet her grandfather, Dom (Brian Dennehy), he might hinder every possible way that they could see each other in “The Blacklist” Season 5.
New stars are coming in the continuation of Liz’s story in the crime thriller drama. With the inclusion of Aida Turturro, is she going to be a new friend or foe of the much-loved FBI agent?
New stars with recurring roles
“The Sopranos” star Aida Turturro will be a recurring guest star in “The Blacklist” Season 5, Entertainment Weekly reported.
The 54-year-old star will play the role of Hawkins, an accountant of an extraordinary business. This unrevealed industry has actually saved her by doing a deal with the Feds against a former business partner that she absolutely hates.
Michael Aronov will also be seen in the television series’ fifth chapter as Smokey Putnum. He is a professional in the field of art and science of logistics. He has managed the travel arrangements of another atypical but glorious business. However, he is currently experiencing hard times and on the run for stealing more than $2 million worth of money.
Unfortunately, Enrique Murciano, who played the role of Julian Gale, will not be seen in the show's return. The 44-year-old actor revealed on his Twitter page that the show’s executive director Jon Bokenkamp told him that he “won’t coming [sic] back.” “See you all very soon,” he said, bidding his final goodbye.
Hi guys sorry but @JonBokenkamp just told me I won't be coming back to @NBCBlacklist .... see you all very soon. https://t.co/FGf1bmBGjY

Red’s secrets he wanted to keep
Moreover, Christian Post reported that Red seems to be developing as “The Blacklist” Season 5’s main villain.
As Dom is said to be seen in the new installment, the show’s executive producer Jon Bokenkamp told Entertainment Weekly that Red is going to do everything to stop him meeting Liz.
“Remember, Dom and Liz have never met - we've never seen those two characters together,” he said. So, this might be an important scene that fans are about to see next season that he also wants to write.
However, if Liz and Dom will really do meet, Bokenkamp wished that Red might not be around, so the two could talk freely. Dom is said to know things about Red that the latter is trying to hide sacredly. These secrets he has might have something to do with his real personality that he doesn’t want Liz to know.
“The Blacklist” Season 5 will return on Sept. 27 on NBC.
