International pop singer Taylor Swift is reportedly set to release her first single from her new album this Friday, August 25. She will also premiere her new music video this week; sources told US Weekly.
According to the report, Swift’s new music for her upcoming album is “poppy, but a really good one.” The insiders told the entertainment website that the singer has been secretive about these new releases, especially as she kept herself without too many projects this year.
US Weekly added that the international pop artist has been spending her time working in the recording studio.
The full-length album will be released this autumn, according to sources. They further revealed that Swift would go on her pop music career track since her “1989” album was a success and fans were drawn toward it. She is aware that there is a growing demand for her to release a new album, and she is excited to return offering big surprises to her fans.
“She has begun focusing on making those things happen,” the insiders stated. These major announcements came in after the “Blank Space” singer apparently closed down all of her social media accounts, drawing speculations from her followers.
Social media blackout
It has been earlier reported that Taylor Swift surprised her followers on Friday after suddenly shutting down her social media accounts, such as Tumblr and Facebook.
She deleted all her Instagram photos, and unfollowed people – mostly celebrities – that she has on her account.
Fans were quick to assume that this apparent “social media inactivity” led to a new album release, which, might just happen this week. If the rumors are indeed true, then this is going to be her next album after “1989,” which came out around three years ago.
The “1989” album featured songs such as “Style,” “Out Of The Woods,” “Shake It Off,” and “Bad Blood.” Big Machine Records was the studio that took charge of the album release in October 2014.
The darker side of Swift?
After a weekend without seeing updates from the singer, a no-profile-photo Instagram account of Swift returned to social media with a 10-second cryptic video.
The video posted was a clip without any audio, but a moving tail of a reptilian. Fans speculated that the video pertained to a snake.
E! Online reported that the short video came out on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr. Music video director Joseph Kahn retweeted the mysterious clip, with the caption of a smiley face. Kahn directed her previous music videos such as “Wildest Dreams,” and “Blank Space.”
