Priyanka Chopra’s overseas projects and acting talent are spoken about, but she is also a skilled singer. “Exotic,” “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” and “In My City” are some of her most prominent English tracks.
Most recently, rumors surfaced online that Priyanka Chopra would lend her voice for a single in her second Hollywood movie “Isn't It Romantic.” However, it is yet to be known if this is true or not. In the meantime, Priyanka confirmed that she would release a single with Australian DJ Will Sparks.
Priyanka Chopra’s singing career
The “Quantico” actress shared a few pictures of herself and Will Sparks on Instagram.
"Something new, something different. Stay tuned for the full story,” she captioned the photo. Priyanka’s primary vocal influence is her father, who has helped her develop an interest in singing. It looks like she has decided to use her vocal talent in her movies and television series. "Ullathai Killathe" was her first song that made Priyanka a music sensation in no time.
When asked why there was such a long gap between the singing gigs, Priyanka, 34, said that singing brought her to the United States, but the break was deliberate. When you become a singer, you have to spare time for writing and recording your own songs, and should be able to promote it well. As of now, the “Baywatch” actress is doing so much work in the film and television industries, so it may be impossible for her to produce music on a regular basis.
However, Priyanka Chopra and Will Sparks have plans to record a couple of songs in coming weeks.
Her next Hollywood film
In the meantime, we would love to tell you that Priyanka Chopra is busy with the shooting of her second Hollywood film. After bagging roles in “Quantico” and “Baywatch,” Chopra has landed another role in “A Kid Like Jake.” This movie is directed by Silas Howard and scripted by Daniel Pearle.
In addition to Priyanka, “A Kid Like Jake” stars Claire Danes, Octavia Spencer, and Jim Parsons. It is based on Lincoln Center's play of the same name which is a story of Alex and Greg. Alex and Greg are worried about the education and future of their son, Jake. As they try to get him into private institutions in New York, they find that they cannot afford the fees of these schools.
Last year, the “Quantico” actress had recorded “Baba” at a New York studio as a tribute to her late father, Ashok Chopra. It looks like Priyanka Chopra has decided to focus both on her acting and singing careers.
