Deadline reports that Marlee Matlin has joined the third season of “Quantico” as a regular. She is set to play an FBI agent, Jocelyn Turner, who fights serious disorders throughout her life. Marlee Matlin is one of the active members of the National Association of the Deaf, and is the only deaf celebrity to have received two Academy Awards for her beautiful performance in “Children of a Lesser God.”

Over the course of her career, Marlee Matlin has won various awards. In recognition of her philanthropic work and advocacy for the inclusion of people with disabilities, Marlee received a Morton Ruderman Award in 2016.

In 2008, she took part as a competitor in ABC's “Dancing with the Stars.” She partnered with Fabian Sanchez for the show; they were eliminated from the competition.

Starring Priyanka Chopra, “Quantico” is an espionage show about some FBI agents. Along with Marlee, Season 3 will see some casting changes with Pearl Thusi and Yasmine Al Massri leaving the series. However, Priyanka Chopra is back as Alex Parrish, the protagonist of the show.

On May 16, it was reported that ABC had renewed the series for a third season. The 13-episode show will premiere on the network in 2019. As part of the renewal process, Joshua Safran will reportedly exit from his character as the primary showrunner but will remain as a consultant.

The first season received positive reviews, with most praising Chopra's performance.

The “Baywatch” actress saw the deal as an opportunity to represent Asians in Hollywood. She was given all the twenty-six pilot scripts that ABC was doing for the first season and chose “Quantico” from them.

There is no information about whether Marlee Matlin is playing a leading role or a supporting character. However, we are even more excited to see Marlee Matlin and Priyanka Chopra on screen together.
