Lydia Mclaughlin is back on this season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" and it sounds like she's quite excited about her role on the show. When Lydia was filming the show before, fans didn't find her that exciting because she was holding back her feelings and coming across as someone who didn't want to speak up. However, this season McLaughlin isn't holding back and within a few episodes, she had called Shannon Beador a lost soul. She clearly wanted to speak her mind this season, as she may have felt that she was stepped upon on previous seasons of "The Real Housewives of Orange County."

According to a new report, Lydia McLaughlin is now speaking out about some of her co-stars and she's revealing that she recognizes some flaws in Shannon Beador's marriage.

Lydia and Doug decided to attend the Spartan Race with Tamra Judge and her husband Eddie, but David Beador had to do the race without his wife. Shannon had no interest in racing with her friends, as they were all more fit than her. Ever since she gained weight, she had no interest in working out and getting healthy. Despite encouragement, Shannon chose to stay home from the Spartan Race.

Major marriage flaw

Lydia McLaughlin reveals that she would go above and beyond for her husband. If he was doing the race and asked her to participate, she would do it for him. She also reveals that she would be there for her husband no matter what. She also points out that it wouldn't be awkward as she had her friends there with her.

"I know every marriage is different, and I don't want to assume I understand the ins and outs of David and Shannon’s relationship... However, if my best friend and husband were doing a race, I would be there. I would want to support them and cheer them on," McLaughlin explains in her blog for Bravo.

Of course, Shannon has revealed that she has had marital problems.

David is spending his time working out and he rarely sees his wife. Perhaps Lydia would do things differently if David was her husband. She reveals she would be there for him and spend time with him, even if working out wasn't something she wanted.

Own marriage problems?

One can imagine that Lydia McLaughlin and Doug have had some problems or disagreements over the years they have been married.

While they do seem like a happy couple, Lydia has revealed that they do disagree when it comes to having another baby. While they may not be arguing to the point of splitting up, one can imagine they have discussed the issue in their marriage. Plus, it is possible that Lydia and Doug have argued about things in private, but they may not want to share it on "The Real Housewives of Orange County."

What do you think about Lydia McLaughlin's marital advice in regards to Shannon and David? Do you think Shannon should do more with David to keep their marriage going?
