Good news, Creeper fans! AMC has finally revealed the release date for the highly anticipated sequel to Victor Salva’s horror film franchise that follows the tale of the winged mythical corn field creature known as The Creeper. Over the years, Salva’s horror movie series “Jeepers Creepers” has captivated a solid fan base.

Even though the upcoming film was met with several setbacks and controversies including the difficulties in securing the film’s financial resources, Salva’s child molestation scandal and the cancellation of the sequel’s casting call in Canada, there are still several fans who are excited about the franchise’s third installment.

The upcoming “Jeepers Creepers 3,” however, is not only a sequel but also a prequel to the previous two films in the horror franchise. Moreover, the third installment in the Jeepers universe will depict the story of Trish Jenner (Gina Philips) and her teenage son Darry, as well as the quest of a group of hunters led by Meg Foster, who know the mythology of the winged creature.

It will follow Jenner’s final mission to kill The Creeper by enlisting the help of Jack Taggart Sr. and Jr. (Ray Wise and Jon Powell).

Fourth sequel

Based on the publication’s May 2017 report, Gina Philips, the actress who portrays the role of Trish Jenner in the Jeepers universe, admitted that a fourth movie was already planned. According to Philips, Salva has written the next chapter after the third sequel’s conclusion, hinting that the controversial creator/director will feature some “flashbacks” in the fourth installment to give an idea of what Trish’s character went through over the last decade.
