Summer is the perfect time for staying inside and catching up all television series we missed in the past few weeks. It is too tough for us to select the right kind of shows, but there is nothing to worry about as you can determine the absolute cream of the crop that broadcast between January and June. Here we have a list of best television shows to enjoy this weekend.

‘Goliath’ – Television Series

“Goliath” is a famous web television series produced by Amazon Studios. The show was commissioned with a straight-to-series order of eight episodes in December 2015, and premiered in October 2016, on Amazon Video.

The cast included Billy Bob Thornton, William Hurt, Maria Bello, Olivia Thirlby, Nina Arianda, Molly Parker, and Tania Raymonde. “Goliath” reportedly received positive comments from critics, scoring 66 out of 100 on Metacritic based on 23 reviews. At the 74th Golden Globe Awards, Billy Bob got a Golden Globe Award for his excellent performance in the show.

‘American Gods’

American Gods” is one of the most successful television series to date. Based on a novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman, the show was produced by Bryan Fuller for the premium cable network Starz.

Fuller and Green served as showrunners, while Gaiman was an executive producer. “American Gods” focused on Shadow Moon, who met a strange man, Mr. Wednesday, after being released from prison.

Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Crispin Glover, Bruce Langley, Yuletide Badaki, and Pablo Schreiber played the leading characters in “American Gods.”

‘The Handmaid's Tale’

The Handmaid's Tale” is a famous American series directed by Bruce Miller, based on a novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood.

It was ordered by streaming service Hulu with a straight-to-series order of ten episodes, with the production beginning in late 2016. Following the smashing success of its first season, “The Handmaid’s Tale” was renewed for a second season which would premiere in summer 2018. The show featured Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, and Samira Wiley.

‘Big Little Lies’ (miniseries)

Big Little Lies” is a famous American drama developed and written by David E.

Kelley, based on a novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. The series comprised seven episodes, all produced by Jean-Marc Vallée. It featured Reese Witherspoon as Madeline, Nicole Kidman as Celeste, Shailene Woodley as Jane, Alexander Skarsgård as Perry, Adam Scott as Mackenzie, Zoë Kravitz as Bonnie, and James Tupper as Nathan. “Big Little Lies” received wide acclaim from television critics. Some of the analysts called the show “a thrilling and enlightening ride led by a first-rate cast.”
