Vicki Gunvalson has stayed somewhat silent on her social media pages over the past couple of days as she prepares for the new season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” -- which is set to premiere on Bravo this Monday. Vicki revealed that she is still close friends with Kelly Dodd, even though the two of them did butt heads last year.

For a while, fans thought Vicki and Kelly were no longer friends because Kelly had supposedly liked a tweet that was a bit harsh toward Vicki. But given Kelly's sense of humor, it sounds like she was just poking fun at her friend.

But now, Vicki is revealing that there is another friend that she's grown close to over the past couple months as they've been filming the new season.

Could Lydia have looked past the cancer drama?

As it turns out, Vicki and returning housewife Lydia McLaughlin have grown closer over the past couple of months. When they were filming the show before, the two of them were actually friends. There was no drama between them, but things did get a bit heated between them during the finale party when Lydia's mother put her feet up on the couch.

It wasn't Vicki who was upset about it, but rather, Vicki’s son-in-law. He yelled at Lydia's mother to get her feet off the couch. However, Vicki never defended Lydia's mother for doing what she did, and she seemed to be neutral during the entire thing, which didn't sit well with Lydia.

'RHOC' star could be regaining her popularity

But, according to a new tweet, it sounds like Lydia and Vicki are actually becoming great friends again. Many of the other housewives, including Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador, seem to have absolutely no interest in making peace with Gunvalson after what happened last year in Ireland.

They seem to be done with her for good and fans question how they could even continue with the show if they refuse to film with Gunvalson. Both Kelly Dodd and Lydia Mclaughlin are giving Vicki a chance, and Lydia's post about spending lunch time with Vicki recently proved that these two are cordial and doing just fine.

Maybe Vicki and Lydia are friends because of their common dislike of Shannon.

The previews for the upcoming season show McLaughlin telling Shannon that she's a lost soul and that it's sad the way she's talking to people. It's already known that Shannon and Vicki are no longer friends and will probably never become friends again. Fans will have to wait and see how the season unfolds. The new season starts on Monday on Bravo.

What do you think about Lydia and Vicki becoming great friends? Are you surprised that these two are working things out based on the drama that went down a few years ago?
