“Harry Potter” celebrates the 20th anniversary of the release of its very first book. To celebrate the significant milestone, Bloomsbury announces the release two new harry potter books in October.
20th anniversary celebrated with new books
“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” was the first book in the famous harry potter series. When it was first released 20 years ago, nobody knew that it would also be the beginning of a phenomenal franchise that has been translated into nine blockbuster films and a theater production.
And to celebrate 20 years of Harry’s magic, Bloomsbury announces that two new books will be released. The upcoming books are “Harry Potter: A History Of Magic” and “Harry Potter - A Journey Through A History of Magic.”
The first book will take readers on a journey through the subjects taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The first book will highlight original Potter book drafts written by celebrated author J. K. Rowling.
The second book deals about how magic came into existence. It dwells on the history of magic and all its mythical creations. The subjects of the book include a wild mix of magic related knowledge such as alchemy, ancient witchcraft, and unicorns.
New books not written by J.K. Rowling
J.K. Rowling’s name has been synonymous with the hit Harry Potter series. She is the brilliant mind who took readers to the world of magic. Unfortunately, neither of the two new books have been written by J.K. Rowling.
The new books form part of the classic collection featured in the British Library's exhibition. The exhibit is scheduled to last until Feb. 28, 2018.
Despite not having Rowling’s signature on the books, publishers are positive that the books will enjoy a positive response from loyal HP series fans. They trust that the books’ release will boost sales and bring in greater profits.
The books shall be made available in the UK. No confirmation was given yet as to the book's release in the U.S.
Bloomsbury have no plans of publishing digital copies of the books. But since HP fans hail from different parts of the globe, many are confident that the knowledge of the books shall be soon made available for all to see.
Earlier this year, Bloomsbury also released new editions of the HP book. The four books gave tribute to each of the four houses of Hogwarts. The book covers highlighted the crest for each house. The books contained fact files, character profiles, and illustrations of the members of each proud house.
